So What Does it Take To Run A Successful Internet Business??

Everyone at one time or another dreams of being there own boss. Not having to answer to anyone. Making lots of money. And working whenever you feel like it.

But the latter couldn't be further away from the truth. It takes a lot of hard work and determination to be a success. Sometimes you are working more than you would at a regular 9 to 5 job. Here are somethings to keep in mind if you want to be a internet guru.

First of all you have to have a product or a service you totally stand behind and believe in. Without that why even bother. When you have something you believe in it fuels your fire and makes your work a lot easier to do.

Have people help you that are trustworthy and dependable. Depending on the size of your business venture you will need people that you can depend on that will get the job done. The worst thing you could do is to employee people that are a hinderance instead of a helping hand.

Organization is key. Before you know it you will be swimming in a sea of blogs, social networks, gadgets, widgets, affiliate accounts, SEO tactics and customers. Try to cut some work out for yourself by having things as organized as possible. This will dramatically cut down on future headaches.

In order to get the word out don't be afraid to use the social network sites. Sites like MySpace, FaceBook and Twitter can help you to become popular and put your name on everyone's tongue.

Think outside the box. Go crazy with your thoughts. Do something no one else has done. What is the worse that could happen? Fail? Then just regroup and try something else.

Educate yourself in internet marketing. There is so much involved with the internet and getting recognized. Especially now that Google reigns supreme. And there is no way around it. Educate yourself on how SEO (Search Engine Optimization) works.

Just in Case You missed it..We have a new visitor!!!!

We have a new visitor to the DollHouse. Her name is Sharla.
Sharla is quite a special little doll. She is a twelve year old spirit of a girl. This girl was born into a prominent family and died in a house fire in 1902. What makes her special is her spirit was summoned by two witches in 1970 and imbued into the body of this little porcelain doll.

The two witches also have a very interesting story of their own. The sisters were born in 1908 to a poor, destitute woman. Not being able to care for them they were split up amongst family members. Millie was raised by her two aunts, Meredith and Eloise. Katherine went to live with her grandmother who lived two thousand miles away.

The two aunts were known in their town as “the weird sisters”. Some even known them as witches as when October 31st rolled around a huge festival and bonfire was held at their property. Most town folk stayed away from them and the property.

In 1926 Millie and Katherine were reunited through tragedy when a huge fire broke out at the aunts’ property that killed everyone except for the young sisters. The fire was huge and killed 127 people on the hill. But as quickly as the fire started, it was snuffed out on its own in no time to the fire men’s surprise and amazement. It couldn’t be logically explained by anyone. No one knows how the fire started but it is rumored Millie and Katherine started it with their other worldly powers because something provoked their anger. From that day on Millie and Katherine never left each other’s side.

Millie and Katherine became reclusive and secretive. They never left their house or let anyone in. All their groceries were delivered and they received strange packages from around the world. They kept their ancient works a secret to the outside world.

In 1993 the post man notified authorities that something was different at the house because of the accumulating packages on the porch. They were found dead together amidst all their strange and odd possessions from around the world. Authorities also realized they had amassed thirty million dollars in the house, for they never placed money in the bank.

In 2000 a paranormal group was called to the house by the sisters’ relatives to investigate odd happenings there. The group accumulated a huge amount of supernatural evidence from the house and the remnants inside. This is where Sharla was found.

Sharla communicated her desire to find a new home through EVP’s. This is how Tom and Traci Watkins came to possess sweet little Sharla. Sharla enjoys children and animals. She knows much about ancient magic and can see into the future. Sharla holds this knowledge because she always was faithfully by Millie’s side during spell work.

Come to the Doll House and check it. Then take part in our interactive discussion forum.

Best laid plans, or how do we get beyond this point?

It's not easy being red, or in the red.

Ghost Walk Productions is pretty new in the scheme of things, less than a year old as a company, and we're still learning some of the corporate basics. But as a story/movie project, we are now entering our 4th year. It's been a major struggle, but don't take this message as we're going away. We're not.

This blog is more of a state of the state of things. We had plans to bring you a video trailer, internet radio, a physical Ghost Walk book, and several other unannounced projects. A little thing called "no money" keeps hitting us in the face. We did our homework on printing t-shirts to which several people said they loved it! and would buy one. Guess what? Those people didn't. Why not? You tell us. We countered with free shipping. Still no bites. People love the shirt but won't buy to help the project they say they love? It does make one scratch his head.
We were even approached by a venture capitalist who said his company would love to fund our movie; starting at one million dollars and up, IF we had a video in hand and an investor on board. Wasn't that why we were talking to him? We were asking for a few thousand dollars for our costume creations, site fees, technical fees, etc, but were told that is not what they do. $1 million versus a few thousand? You can fill in my thoughts with your own here.
So there it is. You wonder why we don't move forward with announced plans at times? There are always many reasons, but people not following through is a major one. Did you promise to buy a t-shirt and didn't? Now is the time.
We're not beaten down and we're far from out, but it is a frustrating time for all of us with the created money problems. I just wanted you to know "the why" when planned projects stall. We are continually adding new projects and ideas to our website and to our various information locations. If you haven't seen The Doll House cam on our website yet, you need to visit. The girl dolls are lovely and creepy, and there have been sightings of the spirit kind. Something named "Tarothon" is coming very soon! It will surprise you. A new menu on the website is coming shortly to make those links easy to reach.
Keep visiting and keep looking. The world of the paranormal is not as far from you as you would think, as 'the little girl' is reaching out to have you stand by her side.

GHOST WALK of OHIO

Meet Siegfried Lane of Ghost Walk

When it comes to Victorian horror stories nothing can come close to Ghost Walk. It has everything a horror fan could ask for. Everything from dark backdrops to rich and invigorating characters are sewn into the luxurious tapestry of Ghost Walk. One character that demands your attention is Siegfried Lane.

Siegfried Lane is a captain of industry. Most of the Lane wealth has come from generations of Lanes’ success in the banking industry. Although Siegfried will never forget this fact he has moved in a different direction. He has answered the beckon call of the petroleum industry. Siegfried is sure that this is the new direction America is headed in and he wants to be at the helm.

It would be nice to think that the Lanes have given back to their community but only the opposite is true. The Lanes have grown powerful and rich on the backs of the poor and hard working citizens of the area. Siegfried will squeeze every last dime and drop of sweat he can out of his victims. Maybe a better term for Siegfried Lane is “vampire” of industry.

Siegfried Lane is the Patriarch of the Lane family. He personifies what the Lanes are all about. He lords over is family with an iron fist and a heavy heart. No one dare cross the powerful Lanes or they will have Siegfried to answer to. Mr. Lane is one to never forget a double cross or an act of rudeness.

If Siegfried has a soft spot in his heart for anyone it is his only daughter, Dorian. Siegfried’s dear sweet wife died long ago leaving only Dorian to fill the emptiness in his heart. Siegfried would move heaven and earth to put a smile on Dorian’s face. Dorian’s happiness is his only personal concern.

Siegfried Lane will be a man you will truly love to hate. Rocky Karlage has yet again created a character that takes on a life of his own and has the ability to jump off the page at the reader. The glorious rendering of Ghost Walk is a story that will stick in the reader’s mind for ages to come. It will possess you, haunt you, and take you captive. You will be helpless against the spell it will cast over you. You can learn more about the world of Ghost Walk by visiting www.ghostwalklive.com for further investigation of the Lanes.

Meet Dorian Lane of Ghost Walk

Ghost Walk is the brain child of Ohio native, Rocky Karlage. One could surmise that Mr. Karlage is the head master of Lane Estate. This Victorian story of horror and the supernatural takes place in 1890’s Cleveland, Ohio. The story draws us into the world of the aristocratic elite and others that are drawn to Lane Estate. One intriguing character that grabs a hold of you and doesn’t let go is Dorian Lane.
Dorian Lane is woman who was born into wealth and power. She has known luxury her entire life. No is a word that is not in her vocabulary. Dorian is the daughter of Siegfried and Elizabeth Lane. Her mother died long ago, so she is definitely daddy’s little girl despite her grown woman status.
This is not to say that Dorian is not caring to those around her. She is warm and inviting to those who share her everyday life. She will fight for those who cannot do so themselves.
Dorian’s beauty is that of legend among the elite in the northeastern states. Her line of suitors is endless. Dorian is well aware of this and uses this fact to position herself exactly where she wants to be. Nothing or no one will stop Dorian from obtaining what she wants in her aristocratic life.
Dorian has one true lifelong friend in her life. She goes by the name of Leila. They have been through thick and thin with each other. Seemingly they always know how to find trouble around every corner, yet somehow always manage to get themselves out. That is until the night of the Harvest Ball at Lane Estate. They meet up with a sort of trouble that they have never known in their protected and sheltered lives. Will they get out of this alive?
The story of Ghost Walk is bringing back the art of good old fashioned American story telling. This is something that has been lost to us for many years because of our love for new technology and mass media. Ironically enough this story is being brought through the internet and the use of modern technology. Introduction to Ghost Walk

Hello Blog Friends!

Read below to learn the history of Ghost Walk...then begin the journey with us..."walk into the dream of the little girl..."

In 2005, the founder of Ghost Walk, Rocky Karlage, attended an annual ghost walk located in Chillicothe, Ohio. It was a tour of haunted sites and ghastly murders that are part of Chillicothe's history. This visit sparked an idea to assemble some of his personal supernatural experiences.

His original thought was to create a Victorian photographic story for the internet due to his many years love of photography. Our founder presented the idea in his personal MySpace blog and this is how our Vice President (Victoria Bonk) became aware of Ghost Walk. She contacted the founder and expressed an interest in working with him to make his concept a reality.

The original MySpace page was deleted for reasons unknown, and frustrated (but determined) to continue his work, a new MySpace profile was created and it has grown ever since.

Through friend and fan input, the project has blossomed into developing many creative outlets such as books, live events, movies, and more. We've come a long way with little help and unbelievable interference, but we're still here, still growing, and will continue to work diligently until Ghost Walk becomes the Ohio historical and supernatural story project it deserves to be.
